Yup that's what I'm working toward. Also I thought about maybe having those wheels painted like a hyper gunmetal color. I work at a Lexus dealership and there's a special wheel finish you can order that's like a hyper gunmetal. It f-ing pops dude.

Your first suspicion was right..you are wrong.....

The wheel weight is part of what what is called "unsprung" weight, everything above the spring is called "sprung weight". Remember you are dealing with not only a vertical force vector at the contact point of a bump (size of the bump) but also a horizontal force vector that is speed and mass dependant. The spring can keep the lighter wheels "down" more easily than the heavier wheels, because the vertical deflection is comprised of the road deflection plus the force with which the "tire spring" (compressed air in the tire rebounds) rebounds times the mass. (not perfect mathematically but you get the idea). This will cause the upward moving heavier tire to compress the spring farther and create loss of contact with the road for a longer period. Stiffer coils will help to a point, but the bumps will actually tend to lift the whole car off the road not just the wheels and tires, hence the violent shock you feel with stiff shocks and springs as well as low profile tires...

You have effectively greatly reduced the shock absorbing quotient of your suspension. However the body and tires will now maintain a much closer relationship..which translates into less lean, and when lowered significantly a lower cg, and lower lateral moment of inertia for the whole car.

As long as this is not offset by losing contact with the pavement, you are fine

What you select for a suspension and tire wheel combination should always be dependant on what you are trying to achieve.
