ULTIMATE W201 suspension set-up for AutoX or Drifting - 09-01-2007, 08:09 PM

What would be the Ultimate W201 suspension set-up for AutoX or Drifting?? wether if its for an 8 valve or 16 valve, what would be the best suspension kit available in the market and what suspension system that needs to be custom made?

let the discussion begin! :)

leftcoast are those for a 2.3 or a 2.6. If they are for a 2.6 I would be interested. Don't mean to thread jack here.

Current suspension setup (see sig) is what I run in autocross and it serves me very well. Have gotten a lot of remarks from people about how the 16v rotates more quickly than any car of its mass & size should.

I went on a coil-over mission a few years back. Ghetto-rigged the first set, modified BMW E36 pieces for the second. On the third, I got as far as having a Bilstein PSS9 kit torn down, revalved, and added brackets for the w201. It actually worked wonderfully, but for the time and money I advise against it. I've got those shocks sitting on a shelf while the engines are torn down, I still don't know if I'm going to put them back on.

I dont think it was a Z4, those shocks clamp at the bottom. Possibly a Z3 set, same front geometry as an E36.
