Here is the setup i have bought from thorsten.
The kit is made for racing on the nordsleife and should be pretty stiff.
Hope i can drift with this set-up.

jip it is about 7cm lower then stock.
So i hope i get away with my 18 inche wheels without cutting up the fenders to much.
If it don't fit at all,, i'm thinking to put evo 1 fender caps on the car.
Just looks so sweet:

I really don't know but from the looks of it i would say 17 inch with a 225-45 tire.
I will have a look on the german 190 site if i can find the cars spec.

I have the same wheels, and would guess they are 225 35's. They are definitely wider than my 17 215 40's but the overall wheel height looks similar...hence I would assume with that much extra width the aspect ratio would have to be quite a bit smaller

Hey dennisbots do you mind explaining a bit why you went with the thorsten kit. Andwhats the pros and cons of that suspension, also if you dont mind how much did you pay for those shocks and springs.

Hey,

I was looking for a very stiff setup.
I now have koni shocks and springs with extra springs but that is way to soft imo.
I have looked for a h&r cup kit but they seem to have bad rear shocks.
And then i came across the setup from thorsten by accident.
The kit is made for racing on the nordsleife and that is the kind of suspension i need.
The setup is kind of alround for street, track, drift and drag.
I hope i can live with the stiffness but i think it will be ok.
Price is not cheap haha.
About 750euro and the setup is 2 races old.

I have driven some cars with h&r cup kits and that kind of setup's but that is not what i'm looking for.
Those setups are good for the street but if you go to a track it sucks (to soft and way to much body roll).
So let's hope this setup is good for what i need.
If this is not what i'm looking for, i ask intrax to make me some custom springs and shocks.

H&R cup kit shocks are softer than Billie sports or Koni sports. The shocks are modified (shortened) Billie HD's. To reduce roll what sway bars have you installed?...If you haven't already, try a limo bar in front (28.5 mm) along with a 320 sportline rear (16mm I think). With that set up, and adjustable camber front and rear, and adjustable shocks you ought to be able to dial it in pretty well with FK'(70 mm)s or even Vogtlands as your springs. Remember it's not just stiffness that you need to control, it's the velocity and amplitude of the unsprung weight as well..springs and shocks should be matched to tires wheels and sway bar stiffness. Didn't Boge make a matched suspension for these cars at one point? Sometimes graduated predictability is more important than ultimate g force at the apex....

PS I have a set of cup kit springs I will sell...no shocks

body roll is more due to swaybar than spring ... Of course, if you replace the shocks by solid steel tubes, you wont have body roll but it wont be practical either.

stiffer springs and shocks will def help for control, but wont eleminate body roll by themsleves. Did you see pictures of te DTM's swaybars? they look like they are about 2" tubes... and they practicaly dont have body roll.
