I did not watch the whole thing as I cannot understand them but unless I missed the part where they grafted a 124 rear end on it and put a 124 hood on it, its a 124 not a 201.

You did miss that part. For one, it is a c-class hood and front end. For two. watch the whole video before you comment and correct others.

Did the euro W201's have W124-like taillamps towards the end of their model run? This is because I recall seeing this one some other euro 201's as well... is it an easy retrofit?

damnit, no not at all. You think you see alot of those because they are 124s and you don't have a well trained eye

front fenders are the easiest way to tell if its 124 or 201 at a quick glance.
201's have lines, 124's don't.

I donīt get it.

A spanish site..making something out of a norweigan national television series of a claimed 600hp cossie merc.
Mark the word claimed, cause at the beginning of the show...the owner is of the notion that heīs to drive around with 320-350hp?

600hp?
With a modded 2.3 exhaust man?
On stock engine suspension?
Ontop of that on the stock gearbox, and thatīs supposed to take the heat?

I can tell you this much for a FACT,my 275...which is a GOOD box by itīs own rights..doesnīt take it at an honest 450+.

No offense..but my BS-o-meter is peggin here..

The turbo man spoke !!!

Then you should make a video of your multi hundred HP build and have it replace this one

I also tought they kept a lot of stock stuf to make it a 600 hp car (they spent as much time for bodywork than for mechanics....) but i never worked with turbos so i was'nt sure about all of this. Everyone would have turbos if it was that easy.

Yeah.
Misconception floating around has been, and to an extent still is,that itīs all about amount of boost.
Like you say,if it only was that easy.

As you know thereīs a new car coming(posted some pics of the astral silber 2.5 in the "to be continued" post),and the idea is at least to take pics.
Video tho...nah..iīm not that much of a mediawhore..*LOL*

Whatīs important to me is the results.
Thereīs an old saying.
-"When the flag drops, the bullshit stops"-
Exactly.

If you disregard the build in the video and just listen to motor acceleration in the absolute end part of the vid..
HEEEEELL NO thatīs a fresh 600 as that engine is picking up the revs.
It just isnīt hysterical enough.
