Wow that's great. I'd go for the saab fuel rail any day of the week.

interesting to see that most saab fuel rails fit. They most likely kept the same cylinder spacing trough their engine evolution/redesign. It's a good thing for us

I have ordered my EFI gear and will start assembly as soon as.... Cant wait to get this up and running. I can do the O2 thing later but for now I will just get it running again.
I am looking for an interface that will give me 02 feedback for the MS, might make up something that will do. Still looking at what the state of development is on the web.
Later.

O2 feedback... i hope so, if not, you wont be able to tune the car ! lol

the Inovate LC-1 is the cheapest and it works fine (200$ for sensor and controller)

and you just plug the LC-1 into megasquirt and you're good to go... no other "interface" needed.

and if you want a visual feedback while you drive, the LC-1 has 2 outputs you can configure just how you want so you can also plug almost any AFR gauge.

Thanks Benz Master, Yes I am pretty well convinced. I have seen a good system from 'PLX devices' for a little less that MS says will work. I am having a closer look.
Cheers.

Finally built up my computer and the simulator.
I like the quality of this kit, it was easy as pie to put together and it looks really pro.
I am looking forward to the setting up and fitting this weekend.
I fitted the AIT sensor tonight and the bypass hose from rocker cover to the inlet pipe. All I have to do is secure everything and start connecting all the wiring. I will put up some more pics on the w/e too.
Cheers.

Ok so I'm debating weather or not to go Megasquirt or Haltech E8. Maybe I shold email Racing about it but if I can get haltech for around 1000 I was thinking I want to. A friend is saying that the haltech is more responsive because its processor is faster than the MS ecu.

Save your money: if there is actually a difference in "processor speed" neither you nor your car will notice the difference. The processor after all, only has to process five operating parameters: coolant temp, air temp, RPM, throttle position, & manifold air pressure.

Trust me, Megasquirt does it all just fine. MS is simply the most popular and cost effective route to EFI. The Haltech hype is not worth the extra money.

Cheers,
bobf.

a friend at university that studied programing told me once that to save power, they should make the processor go into "sleep mode" between each event.... I belive a MS2 is just plain fast enough.

it works fine at least ;)

The MS2 has more than enough speed. As in, there is no reason you could need more processing power. Even though MegaSquirt says not to send changes to the ECU while the engine is running, I do it anyway. The engine doesn't even flinch because the thing is so damn fast it can get changes made between injector fires. Now, the MS1 ECU isn't quite that quick. A friend of mine uploads changes on the go and his engine definitely blips for a split second. But yeah, go with MS2. Great system.
