Thanks, I've already seen the auction. Good to know if I do decide to get them.

Looks like you found a nice car there!!

Sev was selling the perfect wheels for your car like last week...

I can't find the link now though. Maybe he stilll has them?

I'll see if it's possible to make a copy of the tow cover. I'll pm you when I find out.

OK.. I haven't updated this thread in some time. A lot has been done since the purchase, especially in the last 3-4 months. I've not almost restored the car fully. The outside is 98% done at the moment.. still some little things left and a tine correction in the rear bumper to repaint.

I made some minor customizations, too... getting rid of the front door's keyholes and having the antenna mast replaced with a black one. I decided to keep my smoked Hella tail lights as I like the look of them on the MB199 paint scheme.

In the near future will be installing Brabus headers to get some extra ponies. Will post pictures of that later.

Your car looks amazing 201AMG!! I love that amg kit, love the color coded wheels, my only qualm is the taillights but even they seem to work really well on your car. I also like the look of the painted grill with the silver star. Great work, you have a great car. You should take a bunch more pictures and post them.

Thanks Marrymercedes... I've had a couple of friends already bug me about the Hella smoked tail lights, but I like the look of them with the MB199 paint code. My next upgrade which I think would really set it off are French-spec Euro headlights. They have the yellow fog light reflectors and I think they look awesome with a dark car like mine.

BabyHands took the yellow reflectors out of some NAm headlights and put them into some euros to emulate the French-spec lights on his 16 valve and it looks really good. Definitely post more pics when you swap out the headlights.
