aftermarket LCAs built for our cars are 5-10mm shorter depending upon how much negative camber you have. You can only use the shorter LCAs when the car is lowered

lots of goodies. I finally got the axles from metrix motorsports. everything looked good except for the zip ties, but they couldnt find the right clamps for it for some reason. ill fix that later.

i also rebuilt the wheel carriers left and right. new ebrake shoes, wheel bearings, and bushing. the new wheel bearings took care of the huge growling noises and vibrations that I thought the LSD was making in the first place, car runs pretty smooth now.

last time I posted I showed pics of the rebuilt LCAs, and those were installed as well along with all brand new bolts. here are the pics:

I wonder how many more times you're gonna look underneath your car and just ignore that exhaust

Your work is inspiring, keep it up

You could probably build some sort of press with some bottle jacks. We don't have issues with corrosion or anything here so there are no rust-welds to worry about.

this is the whole bushing. i made two of these with the same design/materials...one larger and one smaller. like 30 seconds per bushing to remove with an impact driver.

evo ii: yeah there are new bushings installed on the wheel carrier. the old bushings were so shot that the old LCAs would click whenever i turned. the LCAs would twist around on their own, really bad stuff.

exhaust will be dealt with sometime after I get the 5 speed swapped in. as for now, I think i need new wheels :)
