He,He nope, it will not got through the roof. It's hard to see it on the pics, but about 3/4 of the garage is buildt with no "second floor", just a open seeling. I have about 5 meters free hight to lift the car, so that's no problem.

After A LOT of work(!!) with my house and my new garage, I'm finally ready to start some constructive car work again... Puh!

Just to show there is work going on up in Norway:

And here is a "movie", or more a sound clip. To remember that sweet kompressor song :-)

Torbjørn I am glad your back! I remember the first time I saw your car, I think it was all I talked about for the next three months! What are you doing with the car now? I can't wait for more updates.

p.s. I can't get the movie to work, it just comes up as pages of wingding text.

Hi :-) Nice to hear that you like my car/work. Always uplifting to get positive comments and feedback!

The new engine is ready for installation, so I'm now focusing on the chassis and hardware.
Like I'm going to replace some fuel lines with bigger stuff, and new fuel pumps to be sure the new engine doesn't starve.

Some testing to stiffen up the chassis is done, and some to be done. The rear end is the next on the list.

The movie must be saved to disk and opened in Quick time or other players.

Tor,

That is an interesting structural brace on the rear LCA mounts. Do the rear mounts flex? They are quite substantial but if you or others have experiance with them flexing then the brace makes sense.

Please give us a little history and clarification on the brace. It appears you have made it from alloy plate or is it steel.

Thanks & regards,
bobf.

Yea, I believe they flex "some" when the car corners or brakes hard. I can see that the 190 DTM cars have a single brace between the LCA mounts... I made it like a triangle to take up forward and backward motion as well... Don't know if that happens tough.
Made it out of steel tubing. Aluminum would have taken to much space, ref. thicker material.

Here is a picture of something DTM-like. Mark: beefy front stabilizer bar!

Do you by any chance have some photos of the mounts you made for the supercharger?

Yes, this question came up earlier. Look at page 4 in this tread.

There has been some work going on the last days... here is a small update.

The "sway bar", or stabilizerbar in front has some weird construction originally.
But I suspect it has a function as a link that should give after when overloaded.
That is no good i performance point of view. So I stiffened them up, and hopefully my design will hold when the car has it's turns out on the track...

I'm pretty sure people has done this to their cars earlier...any how has pics of different designs??

The fuel pumps lined up in the original frame, and the new 12mm fuel line in alu is in place.
So now I'm just waiting for some parts to get it complete.

Here are some pics, let me know what you think;
