Power antenna bracket and co-axial connector in the trunk - 10-29-2008, 05:24 AM

The previous owner of my 190E replaced the power antenna with a nasty manual half-retractable antenna.

I want to put in the original antenna or a newer one (without the manual height control).

Unfortunately, he had cut the original connector off and spliced together and taped the cable to the harness on the crap antenna.

I'm quite sure that this connector is a standard co-ax screw on connector, does anybody know which one it is?

Also, do I need special tools to attach a coaxial connector to the coaxial cable?

Luckily... the antenna connector is still in the trunk.

Secondly, does anybody have a picture of what it's supposed to look like with the antenna installed? I'm trying to figure out what bracket(s) I might be missing..

Thanks in advance!
