in my car i got 5.25" speakers in the rear. not sure if you got the same or 4"s. but anyway. if you got 5.25"s take the rear cusion and rear deck off. you gotta remove them so you can disconnect the speakers. then use a small flat blade screwdriver and pry the speaker off the cradle evenly since its glued down. when doing that you gotta be careful not to break the cradle. just go slow as it'll loosen up without much effort. its best to have the cradle off the car when taking the speaker out so just go to the trunk and push in the tabs for the cradle and pop it upward.

to replace them. either get another set of 5.25"s and re-use the cradle. either screw the new speakers down or seal them like the oem ones to cancel out air gaps. for some reason my installer said using sealant voids the warranty for most speakers and it won't matter cuz the cradle isn't even enclosed. but anyway. go with whatever way is best for you.

running new wires is the thing to do. and then you're set.

if you wanna do 6.5"s or 6x9"s mount them to the deck or fab up some new cradles. there's alot of threads on this subject.

for the first aid not opening... not sure why. check if theres anything blocking the handle from moving back to open it. in my case when my rear window shattered, a piece of glass got stuck in the latch part and prevented it from opening.

Hmm... I don't think you need to remove the rear deck. Just remove the head rests if you have any, then the speaker grille can be slid off the deck (I think it's push down slightly and slid either forward or backward). From there you can probably figure out how to lift the speakers out... look in under the speakers from the trunk if it helps.

Done this process. Its the easiest way to remove the speakers. you will have a lot of room to work on.
